The stories of six yoga teachers come to life as they talk about their personal transformation and healing through their practice in the Queer, Trans, and BIPOC communities. They confront head-on the subjects of Western and Eastern practices, how to decolonize yoga, and pay homage to its origins. They challenge racism and body shaming, and look at ways to make yoga more inclusive. This documentary is by, for, and about people in the queer yoga community who are embracing all shapes, sizes, and cultures.

This vibrant and unapologetic documentary puts a spotlight on “fat and fierce babes in Canada who are using their creativity to clap back at a diet culture that seeks to shrink marginalized bodies.” The story is told through clever animation, the lived experiences of four badass queer women, and testimonials of experts who examine fat-phobia through a radical, intersectional lens. This artistic, fresh, and hopeful film looks at how fat-phobia is informed and reinforced by racism, homophobia, sexism, capitalism, and neoliberalism, and how, along with “thin privilege,” it exists even in queer communities.
