This romantic war drama, based on a true story, follows Sergey and Roman, two Cold War–era Soviet air force pilots. Knowing that their intimate relationship is punishable by death, they become entangled in a triangle with Luisa, secretary to the base commander. Soon the two men must come to a decision—their love, their careers, and their lives hang in the balance.
