Many moons ago, Alicia and Sarah met up for Ethiopian food and discovered they both have many thoughts and feelings about lesbian and queer pop culture. Gal Pals Watch is a project born of their shared desire to watch a ton of queer movies (yes, even the many bad ones) and talk about them. From Bound to Watermelon Woman, from Booksmart to Rafiki, and yes, even The Happiest Season, Gal Pals Watch has covered films from at least 6 countries and across genres from documentary and romance to teen movies and experimental films. And always, it’s about having a good time and centering queer and trans work.

In this live episode, the gals will be discussing SQFF pick ERIN’S GUIDE TO KISSING GIRLS!

Sarah Neilson is a freelance culture writer whose work regularly appears in Them, Shondaland, and The Seattle Times among other outlets. They can be found on Twitter @sarahmariewrote. Alicia Lavery-Mullins has been obsessed with queer media ever since she saw The Truth About Jane on Lifetime when she was 11. She loves to discuss queer and trans representation and its impact on our community. She tries to fit in as much queer media as she can get her eyes on between working and parenting her two awesome kids with her awesome wife.

You can follow them at @galpalswatch on Instagram and Twitter.
