GENRE BENDING

Streaming May 6-9 throughout the world!

Mainstream media representations of trans and nonbinary people too often tell sensationalized, one-dimensional medical and social transition stories that cater to a voyeuristic cis gaze. Challenging this myopic vision and redefining what trans cinema can be, this program features trans and nonbinary directors who use experimental methods to explore themes of loss, desire, and resilience.
