If you are having trouble casting to your TV, we have found it works best to watch the pre-roll on your phone/tablet, start the film, and then cast to the TV monitor. You can also download Apple TV to watch our virtual sections this year.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:

This is left to the discretion of the venues. Currently, Northwest Film Forum is the only venue that requires masking, so we ask that everyone respect that policy.

I bought a virtual ticket or pass. How can I access virtual films?

  • Starting October 22nd you can start watching on our watch portal (watch.threedollarbillcinema.org). All films will be available for viewing Oct 22-29, 2023, unless otherwise stated. *Virtual passes only available to screen in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Alaska unless other wise stated. Not all films / programs are available virtually.

  • Once you start watching a film, you have 72 hours to finish it, even if you click play on your link on the last day!

  • TICKETS: You will receive an Order Confirmation email (with your payment receipt) from Elevent. If you purchase your ticket before the festival starts, you will receive a second email with a link to VIEW the film and a VOUCHER CODE on October 12. If you purchase your ticket once the festival has begun, this email will be sent right away. This link will take you to the SQFF watch portal where you will enter your voucher code. Click on PLAY when you are ready to start watching.

    • You will also be able to find your VIEW link and voucher code by logging into your Elevent account under your ORDER HISTORY.

  • PASSES: Your virtual pass is what gives you access to the screening portal. There are a few different ways to log into the screening portal:

    • Within your pass order confirmation email, click the Log In To the Screening Portal Here link

    • Log in to your Elevent account at goelevent.com and click the blue Login button under Virtual Subscriptions

How do I access my ticket pack?

After purchasing your ticket pack, you will be able to select your films (you can mix and match virtual and in person showings). You have to redeem the vouchers for particular films before you will get a notice from Elevent the ticketing system (note: you don’t have to choose all your 6 or 10 at the same-time). You won’t be able to access the viewing portal until you have redeemed a ticket.

What are the system requirements for virtual watching?

  • Compatible Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7 or later, Apple Mac OS 10.12 or later, Chrome OS

  • You can also watch films on Android tablets and phones using Chrome, and on iPhones and iPads using Safari.

How can I watch the films on a bigger screen?

  • Cast from a computer or Android phone/tablet using the Chrome browser to a Chromecast device

  • AirPlay from a computer, iPhone or iPad to an AppleTV (Gen 4 and above) or to any Smart TV bearing the “AirPlay” badge

    • If your screen is black turn off the screen mirroring setting and start AirPlay by selecting the AirPlay button in the bottom right-hand side of the player

  • HDMI: If you have a laptop or computer with an HDMI port, you can connect it directly to your television, using it as a second monitor. Connection details will depend on your setup, and you may need to reference the television’s manual to ensure it’s supported.

  • Can I watch on TV apps such as Roku or AppleTV? This year you can watch on AppleTV on Three Dollar Bill Cinema Channel

Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?

We use adaptive bitrate streaming which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed. If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent you may experience problems during playback. If you’re on wifi, try moving closer to your router.
