Ruben has been sentenced to a minimum-security prison. Shortly after arriving, his cellmate Carlos mentors him in adapting to incarceration. As time passes, they develop a much more intimate connection than expected, but when one of them is released before the other, it calls into question whether what they had was real. From Portland director Jon Garcia (ROOM TO GROW, SQFF 2018; THE FALLS: COVENANT OF GRACE, Twist 2016) and beautifully shot by DP Sarah Whelden (ANNA TIVEL, Translations 2020) comes a sensitive that begins as a prison drama but becomes so much more.
