VOLUNTEERING WITH US

We could not exist without the many volunteers who help us produce our events each year. When you volunteer for TDBC you will have fun, meet new people, support a fabulous non-profit LGBTQ arts event, and earn coupons to see films for free.

We have volunteer shifts that fit almost any schedule and any physical ability. At events, we need volunteers to help usher, assist with setup and breakdown, staff the will call and membership tables, greet guests at the hospitality center and festival receptions, and more.

In addition to volunteering at events, we have various needs for volunteers in the office, helping with mailing parties, dubbing our backlog of analog film to digital format, and many other things.

If you’re interested in some of our more “low key” volunteer positions send an email to Sam, our Volunteer Coordinator, or call our office at (206) 323-4274. We'll add you to our volunteer database and mailing list. If you want to see what shifts are currently available:

VOLUNTEER Positions and InternshipS

Volunteer staff positions are unpaid, but are an opportunity to gain valuable job experience that can be added to your resume to better qualify you for a position in the film industry and/or with the LGBTQ community. Students may also be able to receive credit as an internship and should check with advisors or department chairs for procedures and requirements. Our internship program will kick back off in mid-2019. Volunteer staff may also receive a pass or tickets to our festivals.
