THE DAUGHTERS OF FIRE

  • Northwest Film Forum 1515 12th Avenue Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2019 | 9:30 PM | NORTHWEST FILM FORUM

Argentina | 2018 | 115 minutes | Albertina Carri | In Spanish with English subtitles

In this one-of-a kind queer sexual expedition set against the dreamlike backdrop of Argentinian Patagonia, polyamorous pair Viole and Agustina set off on a road trip, collecting lovers along the way. Their van packed beyond capacity with sexy queers, endless pornographic orgies full of kink and sensuality spill into the countryside. This poetic masterpiece by award-winning director Albertina Carri (BARBIE CAN ALSO BE SAD) doesn’t neatly fit into the category of porn or narrative fiction but rather harnesses both genres, reconceptualizing what it means to have a body with senses.
