Three Dollar Bill Cinema is pleased to co-present this two-day retrospective of a local legend.
Come celebrate the life of Seattle born Actress Frances Farmer in a two day event presented by West Seattle’s Historic Admiral Theater.
November 7, 2008 has been proclaimed FRANCES FARMER DAY in Seattle.
Theater goers are urged to “dress to impress” – 30’s-style for our elegant first night, which celebrates the 72nd Anniversary showing of the award winning classic “Come and Get It”. The evening will also include a silent auction showcasing photos from various private collections; a presentation of “The Bad Girl of West Seattle” by local historian Peder Nelson followed by special guest, David Johnson, CEO of Navos a West Seattle Mental Health Solutions Center, beneficiaries of the evening.
Saturday. November 8, features a matinee showing of “Rhythm on the Range” (co-starring Bing Crosby) and will culminate that evening with Jessica Lange’s academy-award nominated performance in the critically acclaimed movie, Frances.
Join us for an after party at Shadowland in the West Seattle Junction. November marks the one-year anniversary for the popular restaurant which coincidentally was named after the famous star.
