JUST EXPERIMENTING: EXPERIMENTAL SHORTS
Little Theatre
Monday, October 20
9:30pm

By turns raw and rhythmical, this package of experimental short films showcases a broad range of work by queer film and video artists. Intriguing stories and stunning cinematography distinguish THROUGH THE SKIN, PANGYAU, and BASHING. With thoughtful prose and disturbing found footage, THE FAIR AND THE WEAK explores society’s idealized female archetype. Make CONTACT with a young man anxiously awaiting his first HIV test results, and soak up the sun with JOUISSANCE. New Yorkers: cultural trendsetters or THE ROBOTS OF SODOM? FLUFF shows performers turning tricks double-time, while a differently-abled man dances in DREAMING AWAKE. From intimate personal essays to astute social commentary, this program takes the viewer on a reflective journey.
