We are honored to have had the following individuals on our 2002 juries:

Claudia Gorbman is Professor of Film Studies at the University of Washington, Tacoma. She is the author of two books and more than fifty scholarly articles, primarily on film music, and women and film.

John Teegarden is a graduate of USC’s cinema school, with a specialty in film history and criticism. He has written film reviews and related articles for more than 25 years, currently as a bimonthly column for AudienceMag.com. He has served as a programmer for the Seattle International Film Festival and a consultant for Microsoft’s Cinemania.

Joy Shayne Laughter had a sold-out reading of her feature film script BRILLIANT COMPANY at SLGFF 1998. She served on the Board of Women In Film/Seattle from 1999-2000 and was Board President in 2001. Joy will appear as the President of the United States in the upcoming drag-king action-thriller WRITTEN IN STONE.

Sally Schuh is a visual artist who has served as a juror for Artist Trust, the Behnke Foundation, Women’s Caucus for Art, and the Lesbians and Art-Visibility Issues Panel. Her work is included in private and public collections locally and internationally and she is represented by Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle.

Joseph Lin works on film and television productions and owns a deposition videography company. He recently coordinated a feature film adaptation of Hedda Gabler, and is currently working on his own short film based on a story by Alphonse Allais.

Cherese Campo is a producer and production stage manager, who also is a film aficionado. She’s produced such live events as Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, and Sandra Bernhard’s Without You I'm Nothing. She’s also produced apparel shows for Calvin Klein, Matsuda, & Adrienne Vittadini.
